Engineered wood is an advanced version of solid hardwood that makes it ideal to install on different kinds of subfloors and more structurally stable. The core of engineered hardwood is made up of a few layers of ply ranging from 3 to 10 layers glued together on top of each other. Those layers are cross layered which makes it more stable and remain consistent when temperature and moisture levels are fluctuating which is a significant advantage over solid wood.
